Mobilink kicked off a new campaign by offering its customers to use their mobile balance to buy a Pepsi from a new vending machine installed in Lahore and Islamabad, currently setup at educational institutions.

Mobilink developed an application via which user send a black SMS to a short-code, the application sends a Unique PIN code which when entered into the vending machine will give the user their desired drink.

This campaign’s target audience focused on age groups of 15-25, who might seek to have a drink without worrying about where their wallet is.

For Pepsi “7054”, Aquafina “7055”and Sting Bottle “7056”

After sending the blank SMS any one short-code above, the user will get a 7 digit PIN code via SMS. Enter the PIN code into Vending Machine and get your desired drink.

Pepsi will cost the user Rs. 35, Aquafina Watter Rs. 25 and Sting Bottle Rs. 55. No additional charges for the service are charged for this service. User will be charged with the price of the product only taxes are inclusive.

Mean while this facility is available at limited locations in Lahore and Islamabad, and plans are to take this a step further by placing such vending machines at to other cities in Pakistan, including Karachi in the near future.
